Rosanna Davidson launches Bray Summerfest 2012
Royseven, The Riptide Movement, Ryan Sheridan and The Original Rudeboys to headline Bray Summerfest 2012
The Bray Summerfest line-up has finally been announced. At its official launch tonight, Bray Summerfest announced 5 weekends of over 60 events with Music, the Bray Air Spectacular, the Bia Galore Food Festival, Ramp’s n’ Amps’, Family Fiesta and an Olympic Party. Slap on the sunscreen and head to the sunny east coast for Ireland’s largest FREE summer festival!
Rosanna Davison was on hand to officially mark the launch of the Bray Summerfest and said, ‘Having grown up near Bray, I am very aware of the success and great entertainment that the festival brings to Wicklow every year. It is great to be here to launch its biggest and best festival yet’.
New for 2012, is our Ramps’ n’ Amps weekend which showcases the very best in BMX, skate, blade and street dance from the RampRage crew coupled with workshops for everyone to take part. Another new addition is our Family Fiesta weekend which will see a Maze erected along Bray seafront, fancy dress tea-party’s, jewelry design making and painting workshops and even RTE 2’s famous Reuben the Entertainer’.
A stellar line-up of music is on the cards. We have music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday over each of the five weekends so whether it’s Dublin indie hip hop outfit The Original Rudeboys, or meteor winners Royseven you’re in to, or if you want to relive your teenage years with Smash Hits, we have music for everyone. We’re delighted to have up and coming The Riptide Movement as headliners as well as Ryan Sheridan. Other great music during the festival will be brought to you from the Cujo Family, The Shoo’s, Camembert Quartet, Coldplace, Mac Fleetwood, James Brown Tribute and many more.
‘If it’s food you fancy, our Bia Galore Food Festival is certain to tickle your taste buds with our Chef’s Theatre demonstrations, a secret pop-restaurant and the return of the Italian Street Party. The Continental Food and Craft Market will also be staged along the seafront for two of the weekends.’
